Megasquirt ECU Fitted!Throttle Bodies Running!New Head!!PG10
I was thinking of either more hardener, or just let leave it for longer before applying.
Hopefully it will all go well. I might just do it in stages, top first then the other half. Will have to see what works best!

OrionZetec :Id try jb welding from the inside. Put a tiny amount on 1st then build it up slowly. You could wait a while till it goes tacky then apply it?
No worry about the screws, the offers there if you want some
Thanks for the offer mate, I'll keep it in mind!
The only concern I have about applying it on the inside is the disturbance to the air flow that I might introduce from stray JB weld etc. I might just stick with apply to the outside.

The JB Weld has hardened so I started to put it back together.
Those reducers are going nowhere! JB Weld does exactly what it says on the tin!
Close up:-
I put it into the manifold and it was a good fit.....Phew!
Need a few things.
Some decent Vacuum pipe (Silicon-red?)
Plugs for the 4 original Vacuum take offs
4 Jubilee Clips
4 Bolts for the top support
And a few more little things im sure I will come across.
Im thinking of using the same vacuum that I have for the servo, for the crankcase breather. But I dont want to put too much fumes back in. Will have to decide once its on and running.
Also need to decide if I will implement a remote ISCV.
Fingers crossed for getting it done this weekend!

I will be blocking the 4 take offs because they arent much use on closed throttle. Will block them with bungs so could always make use of them later.
Will try breathing to atmosphere first, but will see how it affects my idle.
ISCV is not a problem to mount remotely. Will see if I can tune around it - Warmup enrichment etc.
All will have to be determined once its all up an running... no show stoppers!

the main problem people get with breathing to atmosphere is either ecu not prepared for it ( no prob for you) or lack of suitable one way valves

No not that tube.
Theres a crankcase breather on the front of the block. On my car, it goes to the inlet manifold, behind the coilpack.
Shouldnt be too much of a problem.

FezzR :id be very tempted to fit 45 or 90 degree bends between the manifold and throttle bodies, you say there is loads of room but in terms of air flow there is very little room
looking good tho
Was thinking maybe pipes on the end of the throttle bodies. Its not right up againts the firewall though, and I reckon I could get something in there.
But if you see Graham Bs fiesta, he has less room than me!
Still, enough room for a plenum if turbocharged!
Ford were closed for the day so no bolts until Monday/Tuesday. My fault really as I assumed the EFI ones would fit. But they are too long.
So I will be sorting out fuel pipes etc and throttle cable and leave the bolts till when I get them!
Oh, and my Oil pressure/temp gauge :-
The other thing I noticed was the amount of oil in the inlet pathways!
I was expecting some, but I was surprised at the actual amount. I will be routing both cam and block breathers to some sort of catch tank and venting to atmosphere.
Thanks for all the comments!

glad about your choice on catch tank, ally one are cheap as chips on egay, descent branded ones are about 50 i think
been thinking and if you removed the bulk head pannel you could fit small kink between manifold and throttle body as i said and then would have load of room for air flow, could even fit a scoop to pull all down throw the grill
do like your engine bay, when its done bit of tidying and will be great

Looks great mate - can I ask you where you got the T-piece for the oil pressure/temperature sender, I'm guessing that's a 1/8" NPT union jobby yeah?
Cheers,
Andy

cant you just carefully cut the bolts down?

Cant cut the bolts down as they are not threaded all the way. Besides, i'd rather get the correct ones. Only a couple of days wait.
Andy - I got the bits from Burtons. Ill get the exact details for you tomorrow as the packaging is in the car.
The pic is the Pressure take off. I got a dual gauge which has the temp sender attached. This I was told replaces the sump plug.

Was going to say - when searching for gauges and senders I'd not seen a dual pressure and temperature one.
I'll have a look in the Burtons catalogue I've got next to me here for that adapter - if you can get the part number that would be great
Bet you can't wait to try it out - how is it to map?
Cheers,
Andy

Or could put about 20 washers on to space it out for those couple of days...
Nothing to see here...

LMA011 - Oil Gauge T-Piece Short
1/4NPT * 1/4NPT * 1/8NPT
LMA007
Oil Pipe Adaptor
1/8BSP to 1/8NPT
Remeber though, that this doesnt provide a temperature reading.
You can see that the temp sender is attached to the dial, and apparently plugs into the sump.
