Megasquirt Question: Zetec Turbo Rev Limiter & Ign Map
Hi All,
I know a few of you have Zetec Turbo's these days running custom management. I'm playing around with my map at the moment trying to work out what to change the rev limiter settings to as it seems to be kicking in earlier than I want it to (or my ign map changes have screwed it).
Everything is running pretty sweet apart from seems to stop revving through ~ 6k and won't rev through. Not sure if it's my ign map or rev limiter at present, hence why I'm reaching out.
Is there any chance of any of you posting up a screen shot of your ZT ign map(s)? to double check mine or PM me if you don't want to share them. Also what sort of settings do you have for your rev limit, aiming for spark-retard at a soft limit 7000 and hard limit 7200. Not sure how much to retard by though, either fixed to 5deg or progressive from 12.0-14.0 (around peak kPa @ 7000rpm) down to 4.0 or suchlike.
I want the rev limiter there in case I forget to change gear or when spinning the wheels, I will setup a shift light once I see where peak power is, and use that as a visual cue rather than rely on the limiter. Just there more as a safety fallback.
Let me know if any of you have any suggestions or places to look as my GoogleFu hasn't found me anything about ZT rev limiter settings.
Many thanks,
Simon
