hi im after a basic megasquirt package that i can build up my self to run my zetec turbo.im after a package that contains the map sensor built in to the ecu .can anybody recomemnd a package with a rough price and maybe point me in the right direction to a supplier in the uk thanks.

All the present megasquirts have the MAP sensor on board.

whats the starting price for these kits.i looked at 1 web site and it looked very confusing.think it was an american site carnt remember what its called.what some thing basic that i can do my self and learn from building it.for the zetec turbo

have u thought about a emerald ecu around 600 for a good set up with map sensor then theres mapping on top o that but a very good ecu none the less also good for me as not alot of places near me can map the megasquirt this was my original choice

The emerald ecu is definately the better choice for a bolt in solution. We deal with emerald and have fitted at least three systems within the last month. Off the top of my head they are 550+vat. Plus map sensor. The emerald systems are a good capable system for the money.

As i understand the post though, he wants to build one as a project to learn a bit about management systems. Megasquirt should not be treated as a cheap management, they are diy projects. A good megasquirt system that has been built to suit the vehicle is a good system though.

My Mate runs a Megasquirt UK based website link is in my sig send him a email and he will qoute you a price ive been using and playing with mine for a year now no problems at all !! he also very cheap! dont be fooled by the ones on ebay the soldering quality on them is terrible. my mate has also just built one to run a Almera GTI and is playing with fitting them to other makes and models his trade is an Auto electrician so he is very knowlegable if you need any questions answering
