Hey all. well a few of you might remember some might not. my xr2i got nicked, and was not going to be cost effective to fix......so the hunt began for something new. And thanks to fraggle and shiftelec i now own a genuine fiesta rs turbo At the minute no tax or test but hoping to get the feww little bits done befor i get paid next month.
Its a H-reg mercury grey, totally standard, beaut! These are the only pics of her i have at the minute after a quick wash! would've clayed, polished etc but the rain said no! opinions and comments welcomed.....

Re: My new project :D
i had one on the xr2i mate, thats why they didnt get away with it. i've still got my ai606 alarm so im going to get that installed with proxy sensor and total closure aswell, and a steering wheel boss for the standard wheel so that i can just pop it off and take it inside. so it should be more than suitable im hoping!
Plans at the minute are get her up and running alarmed and on the road by next month then go from there. im not sure if i would like some morrette lights on it. i've seen a few on here and they do look nice. going to get some nice cleaning products aswell like claybar wax and some interior cleaner etc. to make it gleam!
i've got an exhaust to go on it but not sure of it yet, and would like it on coilovers. maybe get some roose motorsport hoses in either gloss black (standard look) or red. but thats in the future!

Re: My new project :D
just waiting on that torque wrench mate, as soon as i have one i will check the settings on the head and the big end bolts then itll just need a cambelt putting on. (i cant do it, no idea how) some new discs and pads and its pretty much ready for mot. going to put the battery on charge tomorrow to see if it has any life in it, if not its a new new :@
I'll look after her mate, im eagerly awaiting the first start up lol. cant wait to hear her run for the first time let alone drive her. loads of steady miles like you said.
Ill buy you a pint mate, i dont mind. unfortunatley it'll have to be at one of the show lol.

Re: My new project :D fiesta rs turbo
well have decided to do a few cost affective things to the fiesta....have put the turbo on the manifold and put the manifold on the block, got myself a torque wrench and checked the nessacery bolts...so tomorrow hoping to get the sump on will get a few pics of the bay tomorow.
Today just had a nice hour doing rear drums, only got pics of one side as the bloody camera died
Sanded down the drums and coated them with some hammered hammerite black, not ging any fancy colours with them. heres the few pics i did get!!

Re: Merc grey fiesta rs turbo SHE RUNS!!!
well we finaly got her timed up etc, theres a little bit of smoke coming from manifold/turbo area, is that normal? only thing left to do is get a stud on the manifold sorted, as where the downpipe connects to the manifold/turbo one of the threads is just too short to get a nut on......but apart from that. shes ready i think!?
a video of the start up and a few more pics of the parts etc!! (sounds loud as the downpipe wasnt/still isnt fitted right

WELL DONE!!!!!
Is that a new battery or the one that was on it been charged? Keep going with downpipe to exhaust you will get it right in the end (trust me!) Smoke is probably burning the oil of your greasy hands!!! And again well done keep me informed!
