Merde Agitation 106 Gti - For sale
Re: Sh*t stirring 106 Gti Track Car - Pictures
Thanks matey. It was clean though! The paintwork is quite rough in places with lacquer peeling off, and i had just driven into a muddy carpark to take the pictures. It will get a proper polish at some point though to make it "streamline" through the air
On a side note, this picture shows the bigger brakes quite nicely as i forgot to take any other pictures (they only just fit under the standard wheels)
Lovely reflection pictures Henry
List of things to do (or rather might do if we can be bothered!)
* Fit dash
* Fit R888's to a set of wheels (either the standards, a set of vtr's or some rallye steels)
* Buy a steering wheel adaptor and fit the new wheel
* Go and have some fun with it like those videos!
I would love to do some sort of supercharger/turbo conversion, but this was never meant to be a big budget project and to be honest i think it will more than enough fun for what it's cost us so far.

Looks almost set then The video above just shows how well it handles, the way the back end stays out so stable.

The brakes have been upgraded from 249mm to 266mm (off a 306 xsi) with new discs and new EBC ultimax pads - could have gone bigger but we didn't want to payout on bigger wheels/tyres. Although the discs aren't that much bigger the calipers are quite hefty compared to standard, and seeing as it weighs nothing it works out as a massive improvement for <£100

Excellant, I use to find my standard xr2i calipers worked well with grooved discs, Mintex Extreme pads, 5.1 fluid and braided lines,
when the car is light then huge brake arn't really necessary. I'm looking forward to seeing this go around Combe

I wouldn't mind one, but they don't seem to come up cheap! I might just make some sort of heatshield/enclosure for the current setup.
Might do some more work on the car this weekend if it doesn't rain.

It's pretty much the same setup as what i currently have, but without the enclosure bit around the filter. We will save money by making our own "heat shield"

Re: Merde Agitation 106 Gti Track Car - Pictures
Massive update - dash is back in
You can probably see the lines i drew which was going to be here we chopped the dash down, but it turns out we would have lost 3 of the main mounting points so we left it whole.
Should be booking a track day sometime this week for the 19th Feb
We've decided on having a seperate set of "track" only wheels, so we just need to get these bad boys fitted to them ready for then

Re: Merde Agitation 106 Gti Track Car - Pictures
Ah, it's been a while since I've been in a 106 GTi, but my god, this thing is so much fun... So quick too! Makes mine feel very slow
I drove it briefly, but I couldn't get the harnesses right and the lack of speedo illumination made it difficult to see how fast I was going, but it was wicked
I'll have a proper drive when we've got more time and some daylight, Steve

Unless you want to sell it insanely cheap, i'll have to pass pal.
Just had to pay out for a replacement strut/hub assembly, as it has decided to munch through a pretty much brand new bearing on the drivers side.
I'm hoping to have it all sorted out ready for combe in just over 4 weeks time. The bloody thing keeps going wrong just before we plan to use it!!
