Lydden next weekend steve?

As per the above post, a few of us South East guys went to Lydden Hill yesterday for a track day. More below...

First of all me and Karlos had to fit this...



And i also got to work on the track wheels - it's probably one of the worst paint jobs ever, but they look better than they did!

Sprayed - i was going to go for an outrageous colour but my sensible head went with Ford Polaris Grey



So, a few pics below from the day. Henry took the BM out first and i went out as passenger (he can update his thread with pics) then i waited until after lunch.













Some of the other cars there on the day. It was fairly quiet considering the weather was great.















The car did two sessions, and although the power steering wasn't working i was really impressed with the car. It's been a bit of a pig over the winter months with bits and pieces going wrong delaying us from using it, but after yesterday i'm keen to use it again and do little bits to improve it further. On a small track like Lydden it did pretty well. There was only 5/6 cars on track in our sessions and the weather was great, so it made it very easy going.

Roll on Combe!!

Needs an LSD for sure. Cant believe it spun up so easily even with the r888's on

well ill be honest, theres f**k all in Pt to compensate, next thing down in the hot hatch cat is a silver 1.7 mk4 fez, and ive taken his title

Black looks tatty, but it has a fudgekin huge intercooler on the front.

Picked up a cat back exhaust for the car earlier. Should be a nice improvement over the standard rattly restrictive thing.

Should have a driveshaft turning up in the post tomorrow, so both of these will be fitted in the week ready for the weekend.

Also received the sticker from Dave - much needed mod ready for Combe!
