Yup, true. BBC News just confirmed it; if they're happy to say it's true then I'll believe it!

I said from the start the tour would never go ahead but not like this. Sad news and thoughts obviously with his family.

Only sky are saying it's true, until the BBC and CNN confirm it I'm staying quiet. Sky have always had a reputation for falsely reporting stories.

BBC seem quite sure so I believe it.. Never been a real fan but RIP if he has passed away, quite shocked tbh.

PS I don't know about anyone else but my TV is a bit choppy, BBC News live can be watched streaming here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8119951.stm

yep, been confirmed dead by the LA hospital. I think its really sad. Think also most of the controversy was rubbish and people just after a quick buck from an unstable man. I grew up as a kid listening to this man, first cassette i had was bad.

Had 2 tickets to see him on 30th August at 02 at the front of block 101 for my birthday :(

RIP Jackson (and can we refrain from jokes please)

Everyone was talking about it at work today, I've never been a fan really but I never knew how many people were! Quite a few people were genuinely upset and down about it, so very sad because I feel for them and MJ's family.
He was a proper legend and his legacy will live as long, if not longer than Elvis's.

He was a strange bloke surrounded by maliscious rumour and accusations but he had such a hard child hood, performing since he was ten I think and never really had the chance to grow up so he was really vulnerable to the media. I personally believe he just wanted to give children the things he dreamt of when he was a child but could obviously never have, because he had to perform to fill his dad's pocket up with notes.

RIP Jacko

Been performing since he was 5. It's really sad due to the fact he was so misunderstood. He was childlike therefore he knew and spoke to children as if he was a child himself.

The sad thing is no-one will ever know if it was true, you could claim it was just media hype over nothing to make money, but the same could be said if any other celebrity was accused of any of that.

I agree the media can effect situations drastically, for example fuel/food shortages as soon as it on news people rush out.
I dont know much about him never really followed the stories or watched many documentries. But i know his songs are some of the greatest ever and his dance moves are origanal and unique. Shame it takes something like this to reconise it.

agreed single charge, getting fed up with every channel going on about MJ now though. like someone at work said loads of people will be all listening to his music now....because he's dead..... thats too little too late IMO. If you like someones music you'll buy their album and put some money in their pocket, not wait until they die pennyless then go and buy their cd.

Still, RIP....

Heard on the radio this morning, sounds like people that had tickets for O2, you might now have the option to still have souvenir tickets sent instead of refunds but its optional. Guess its a way of getting out of money trouble, refunding everyone will leave all the organisers way out of pocket and jackson family will still receive aload of dosh without him having to perform.....can put it towards his debt.....did here he recently got a £300 million loan .

I paid £175 all in for 2 tickets for block 101 (near the Front). iam gonna request tickets and either keep them for myself or consider selling if there going for silly money. What do you think ?

I have a feeling the souvenir tickets will fetch more than the original tickets ever cost.

I'd go for it myself, but make sure you list them on ebays "global buying hub" to reach a wider audience...

With no disprespect meant, its getting a little boring that every other song on every radio station is an MJ one.

We can all see that he was extremely talented but i fear that his songs are getting over played, which is going to ruin them eventually.

Once his been buried and results came back from the lab, it will all go quiet then every year on the anniversary of his death the interest will grow again
