I was one of the people who fitted into his car.. Its a good runner like what's been said in that post.
The easiest way of discribing the difference is that matt can look dull, whereas satin has a 'shine' to the finish, but nothing like the finish you get with a gloss colour.

i said it was by there and told me no the whole bonnet lol
are you doing this spray with a rattle can?
i take it you've never sprayed a car aprt with a rattle can before, never works always ends up getting chipped easy or flaking, id avoid large/obvious areas with a can at all costs, eg bumpers bonnets doors etc
mirrors and bump strips is ok though

lol
i know what he means it more of a "hardcore" paint and will stick better than a gloss, but at the end of the day some home done diy attempt paint job is never going to stick as well as a well prepaired body shop job lets be fair
no offence, ive just realsied that its best not to even try as it is relentless, im even regretting doing my arch kit, where my foot hits the skirt when i get in its left deep marks and the paint is coming away, and where the door rubs slightly

Re: My ZS! OMFG! More sneaky pictures :)!
Tbh, as you may have noticed, I'm
Not really that arsed about my cars THAT much, I'd rather have a car that looks OK, an goes like f**k!
I.e... My quickish zs, with a s**t rattle can paint job
That have a mint looking 1.2
Personal preference though I think, as long as it's fast and it sounds good I'm
Not really arsed what it looks like, as long as it's ok
Might go rat after this matt paint :/ less up keep !

Totally disagree. All depends how good you are at using rattle cans and the prep work, not the cans in general. The bumpers on my car are done with a rattle can and the finish is spot on, no lumps, has never flaked, is as soft as the rest of the car and has a perfect shine too!

Don't know, I've always had more success in blending Satin and Matt black rather than regular paint with lacquer. My old wheels were satin blacked, and I could just spray straight over stone chips etc and it would dry so that you couldn't see where it had been sprayed.

Re: My ZS! OMFG! More sneaky pictures :)!
Satin and matt black both go on way easier than gloss colours, far more forgiving. Gloss can be done fine with no problems, if you prep well. Obviously a large flat area is always going to be trickier.

Re: My ZS! OMFG! More sneaky pictures :)!
agree with other its all in the prep if you skip on this then your paint wont stick very well and will flake etc but good prep is what makes a good spray job
when i worked in a bodyshop rattle cans were used on some bits and the colour match and finish is just as good its not the rattle can.
also rattle can paint is only 1k were as paint used in a body shop etc is 2k which makes it slightly harder wearing as is mixed with hardeners
