tbh with them engines, you just gotta run them till they die, you cant stop it happening as the bottem ends are untreatable so just run it till it dies, if it doesnt fair enough

only downside is if liek many its drinking oil more then fuel its not worth actually running it till ti dies as it will go very quickly once the oil runs out

get a mk5 1.25 and swap all the bits from this over liek the bumpers wheels seats wheel and brakes etc (calipers if the discs are warped )

thats soot, either overfueling or burning oil, smell it as its idling/revving, if it smells oily its the later or if it smells liek strong carbon its fueling too much
