Re: Mike's RS1800 Azura. you're going to hate me.
OKAY HI.
got bored the otehr day and tried to fit my lower arms, of which i have the wrong ones again - 3.5 ones are bigger. i got non power steering ones etc for a 1.1 fiesta 89-95 and theyre still wrong so tonight i will FORCE them to fit with magic.
they need to be done because im not driving to ford fair with the bushes on both sides like this ;
painted the calipers and drums with this
i liked the red
and my friend started to do a little refurb on my wheels - undecided on colour yet so they just hae a mass of white primer all over
then we washed it
oh and to entertain myself i covered up the crack on te front bumper with these; shut up i dont care.

that OBX manifold is a bargain!
mike... you know what i said about the stickers and wheels, but red oxide? really lol
you know its actually used a a primer more than paint yea?
its for preventing rust from forming, but stopping water/air getting through to the metal underneath

Just stop being a fanny and take it to ford fair. f**k sake sort it out woman.
Other than a few mechanical problems the car looks fine, well, until you ruined it with stickers Man up, grow a pair and get on with it!

Lower arms will be fine for Ford Fair As for the exhaust, just bodge it. It's a one-off drive to one of the biggest shows on the calendar. It needs to be there else you've wasted my time posting out that stand pass

i just dont have the time for it.
its deffo for sale this time; i change m mind all the time but thats it now.
ill post an ad, advertise it locally and such because ive found the car i want.
i know i f**k about and mess about but at least i got everything i wanted this time and just realised i dont want a massive project like this... not for me at all, too much.
maybe later on when i have more time and a bit more money to make something awesome ill do it.
sorry for being an indecisive tugger.

Lol, it's like an episode of eastenders in here, where did I leave my popcorn?!
If you cant afford it then that's fair enough, nobody on here moaning at you is going to change that.
Shame it's turned into a bit of a mess though, I'd have been half tempted to buy it otherwise

I just don't want to have to change an engine etc! My next car will be one I'm happy with I absolutely promise

your an absolute mongen
you get thrown off by a pair of lower arms, jesus christ imagine a liberated con rod or turbo oil seal...
sell it, by a scooter and save everyone the hastle of reading your threads
feel stupid for helping you and getting my hopes up for this car, you waste it, 3rd car now
the smart thing to do incase your wondering, would have to waited till after ford fair to buy the engine and kit, or atleast buy the engine alone, as it could have sold to someone else, make ford fair in a running car, with money!
then do the conversion after it (after making it road worthy albiet...)

I think I can see a pattern emerging here.
MK3 - you worked on it, then you scrapped it
ZS - you worked on it, then you stickerbombed it, then you scrapped it
MK3.5 - you worked on it, then you stickerbombed it, then you scrapped it.
You've got to stop working on and stickerbombing cars!

The stickers have gone.
At the en of the day I'm not happy modifying a car. I thought it would begin but it's not what I want to do.
It won't be scrapped and it will hopefully gon in place of something better.

Re: Mike's RS1800 Azura. Won't be at ford fair
Also who said anything about scrapping this?
Apart from the arms and exhaust it's fine and has mot and tax - I just hate it and want something newer
And the first mk3 went in place of something better - then I crashed my zs and couldn't afford the upkeep and insurance.
So really you should all probably lay off as at the end of the day you don't know my circumstances at the moment and it is my car at the end of the day.
I won't make another thread for my next car as I'll probably end up fudgekin it up as already stated.

1k is well over priced.
You'd be better of selling the engine separate as people are always looking to upgrade etc, at the moment your limiting yourself to who would want to buy it.
Also, just because you paid so much for something, doesn't mean you'll get that much back, it really doesn't work like that.
Bit confused as to how you're selling the bottom arms with it if, like you say, they're the wrong ones? Surely you'd be better off including a tea pot made of chocolate?
What car have you found that you want this time?

I just find it completely mindblowing that at 16:10 yesterday you were giving updates and doing things to it, then at 17:30 you suddenly decide that you hate it and can't be arsed with it!
What can possibly happen in 80 minutes that makes you hate your car so much? The only thing I can think is that you've seen something on autotrader or pistonheads you want and you think "I must have this car nothing else matters, I hate anything that will get in my way of getting this other car".
I just don't understand what's going on.
Lets put it this way, during one weekend of work on my car I have a failed wheel bearing, broken ABS sensor, amongst other things but I'm not suddenly going to say I hate my car and want rid...
As for a thread for your next car, its your shout, but with the amount of help and advice people have given you here over your last three cars which has been thrown back in their faces I'm not sure how it will go down.
There is nothing wrong with this car. It has a couple of failing lower arm bushes as far as I can tell... Bumpers you can pick up for free nowadays, and you already have the engine...

Re: Mike's RS1800 Azura. Won't be at ford fair
I have taken on board everything people have said, more often than not use the advice to help others and do odd jobs about for a bit of extra money too!
What happened in those 80 minutes made me realise I don't have the time for this as I have other priorities.
That's obviously all I want to say and should be accepted - I do not have time for a project car right now, I dont know why i do it and waste money but my next car will be one that I'll be happy with.
Sorry to dissapoint but it'll sell as a project to someone who can and will finish it.

Totally agree with Nicks post.
Stop being such a drama queen and keep it. Even if you don't want to modify it anymore, keep it. They are good little run arounds, and for some one with your 'circumstances' it'll be cheap and easy to run. Fix the lower arms, get the exhaust sorted. Go scrappy and get a bumper = Happy days!
You wait until you other priorities like having a full time job or a child to look after, f**k knows what's you'd be like then.
Look my Fiesta isn't perfect, and I've had moments like you. But just wipe the slate clean, start a new thread and don't give us the BS!
NEVER give up!

the conversion will go ahead then im going to advertise it locally - enjoy it (or not ) use payday and the sale from this to get something else.
thats the plan.

Look, this is nothing. Easy situation to sort out... Your just making excuses.
I'm going grey from the amount of stress I'm getting a home. Your throwing your toys out the pram for a few bits.
Don't jump the gun with this car. Start slow, don't rush. It's mint! Just sort the bits out, clean it up.

i admit im being rash with all of it but if you knew the sitch you'd agree it was best
