Yeah the servo will be fiiiiiiiiiiiine. If you are that worried, get a servo off xr2i/rs1800/rst/1.6 si and fit it, but the standard servo will be upto the job for sure.

Easy way of raising the pedal. Put some washers on the rod.

this guy has it on the head

mike 260s are perfect for my car, they will be more than fine for your 1.1 and the 1.6 plans too, take my word for it, before you fit the cvh go fit a escort or even mondeo servo and you wont look twice at the calipers

You will be fine using your standard MC for ZS brakes, but be warned, the ZS brakes aren't great at all. Ford scaled down the piston size considerably.

If you're going to the trouble of fitting new brakes then I would recommend RS2000 260mm.

but i already have zs calipers from my old car

they'll be better over the standard ones and sufficient for the 1.1 for now though? i could move onto something better at a later date? possbily 300's then change the servo along with those in the future or something?

Doing left foot braking is even scarier with st24 brakes an a mondeo servo. Almost broke the seatbelt.

I'd still recommend getting the brakes upgraded as much a possible. Standard or slightly upgraded brakes would have written off my car, other drivers faults with these ones such as the classic pull out in front of me with NO room to spare.

Mike's Azura. brakes.

Postby - Danny Boy - on Fri Sep 07, 2012 3:52 pm

Shouldn't be speeding and/or you should be cautious and aware of your surroundings.

As we are on the left food braking thing, may I recommend doing it in a modern French car? Most of them have pin sharp brakes!

I never speed, seriously. I've had to avoid the people who just don't plain see my car.

ST24 CALIPERS are a good alternative to cossy brakes .
You do need to grind about 3 mm out of the caliper carrier to get it to clear but once done very good brakes
failing that just get some mintex m1144 pads grooved discs and some racing dot 4 fluid
2.1 Went BANGGGGG now a Ghia 1800

AND

its my 21st on the 25th october and my family have agreed (after i persuaded them) that giving me money is a good idea.

that meaning one thing
A NEW CAR.

this will be coming off the road when the tax runs out - so i can sort everything out over the winter and sort out the bodywork, engine, eberything :)

my new aim is to get this to fitp next year as the car i want it to be. money will be spent - tears will be shed and blood will be spilled but as per your comments, advice and help will go a long way!

Yeah a nice daily to get me places comfortably, rather than a creaky old fez. And rather than keep throwing money at this get it sorted properly!

Why Jon?

No because this is turning into a money pit and with the money from my 21st I'll be able to afford something better without getting rid! Makes more sense to me.
