Been doing lots of short journeys? Mine did exactly the same, took it for a nice long motorway run, the mayo cleared up and it was back to normal

I have yeah! Im gonna take it to Preston today so that's a pretty alright run...
It was booked in to get tracked today and I got a phone. All saying the pinch bolts on the hubs were causing movement and it couldn't be done... Then they wanted £35! Just to fit the bolts soo I'm gonna buy them fit them an take it back on Saturday...

Your first post says you're using RS Turbo shocks? Aren't they a smaller diameter to the MK3.5 hubs? If that's the case, no wonder you're getting handling issues.

What's worse - what have you wrapped the shocks in to 'secure' them into the hubs??

duct tape
seriously though you must have a mental dilema to risk your life just to lower your car
why didnt you just fit the springs from the RS shocks to the 1.1 shocks?!

The front shocks are my 3.5's
Jony me and you have had this back and forth so you can f**k off with your "he's an idiot" you daft c**t.
The rs shocks are only at the rear.

And the garage said its the pinch bolts that possibly need doing but I think the bottom arms and balljoints are to blame again

Watch my attidtude? Behave.
And yes, yes you did, it was you that told me not to use the rs turbo ones at the front as I didn't realise the hub was different.

Its done with now.
On Saturday the fiesta is getting ANOTHER set of bottom arms but this time rose jointed ones the garage is gonna fit them and replace the bolts for £30 so in total £50 for wheel alignment and that. Which I begrudge paying but needs must.

Re: Mike's Azura. :( 29/9 MORE bad news
Took my front bumper off to finish it and it snapped where the crack was and won't got back on.
Also the o/s/f hub is f**cked and the reason the handling is so bad AND it keeps stalling for no reason. The area around the sump plug has a little crack so the oil leak is permanent.
I'm having no luck with this car at the moment. Cannot wait until next month so I can hopefully afford something else...
Then I can rip this apart and do it properly

Mike's Azura. :( 29/9 MORE bad news
Getting rid again? Everything you mentioned there is such an easy and cheap fix.
Bumper - £10 from scrapyard
Wheel hub - £10 from scrapyard
Sump - £5 from scrapyard
All things you can fit yourself with little effort.

what a pain mike. even worse when its your daily too. i always had niggles that were easy fixes that id have preferred to do with the car off the road. was the best decision i did if i had a daily i wouldnt finish it hence why im using a bike. but if you can afford a s**t with 12months t and t then do it and fix the car up to how you want!
