Mike's Azura.... RIP
Re: Mike's Azura. :( 29/9 MORE bad news
When did I mention getting rid nick?
Yeah Ben, it's the little things that mount up! And I just do not have the time or spare cash to get them sorted, no matter how small or cheap they are I just don't.
Gonna put my old frst bumper on the front if I can dig it out for a temp... And drive it carefully and lovingly until I get a couple of pennies for a new set of hubs!

Lord Michael! :Cannot wait until next month so I can hopefully afford something else...
Sounds awfully like you want to buy something else to get rid of the Fiesta.
By the way, if you can afford another car you can afford £25 for parts to repair this one.
Time? You only need a day to do it - you seem to have the time spare to sticker bomb all over the place...

A line underneath that is says
"so I can pull this apart"
And I can't afford £25 this month because I'm skint and saving up my money for next month which my my 21st birthday when I want to buy a new car.
Why you felt the need to pull what was originally a very straight forward post to pieces I'll. NEver know mate?!
It's up in April Ben why?
And neither have i Jon but when it was on the ramps you can quite clearly see there's too much play in the ball joint for it not to be the hub....?

Re: Mike's Azura. :( 29/9 MORE bad news
Yeah Well the mot runs out in December Ben so by then I plan on having a new motor! Like I said with my 21st being next month I hope to have one then
I put the frst bumper I bought on because I can't very well go around without one!
Seeing it now I'm tempted to put the rear on and get a cheap kit... As I do like the look... That will have to wait though as the hubs are first on the list!

Cheers Ben
More good news! Found some hubs but the guy wants them to go as a pair? How much do they usually go for though?
I'm gonna sort my rear bumper out too so it matches the front!
Seems like things are looking up!

Re: Mike's Azura. 5/10 Guess what...
right so yesterday afternoon i started my car and the hg has definitely decided to s**t itself or is very near to doing so, white smoke BELLOWING out of the exhaust filling the street with the smell of burn and people thinking someones dropped a mustard bomb in the street.
i let it warm up before i drove it, it was jittery and idling irractically all the way to work yesterday and today however is drivable...
rocker cover gundge... oil breatherpipe full of s**t, all the signs are there, so its deffo that.
also fitted this.
but first found this.
97.5% rust free!...

Probably be easiest to get a new lock set, they r pretty cheap mate, where's the exhaust blow from?? My old 1 split right at the front of the centre box, it sounded well good (sort of) lol. Which lock doesnt work anyway??

nice man. thats what mine were like! a little scab on front so cut it out, fibre fillered it, painted over with hammerite and you could never tell it was a patch so get it sorted before it gets worse!
could be your key mate, get a new one cut just incase because thats what happened with mine. or could be the barrels.

Re: Mike's Azura. 5/10 Guess what...
Well I've only been driving it to work so it doesn't bother me much, I have two keys Ben ones new and ones old and they both don't work properly! I have to open the boot from the inside...
On an up note I have found an xr3i engine and box with full exhaust system to buy next month - same guy that has the hubs.
Will my rs1800 loom work with that engine?

Isn't the XR3i a 1.6CVH same as the XR2i? If so the Zetec loom probably won't work?

Thats what i was thinking?? Maybe just the standard loom but there is a ecu type box which i guess would be needed for the 3i engine?? I know an xr2 is the same as mine cos they r basically just carbs
