Re: Mike's Azura. 6/10 good news :)
Right with all the bad news lately my family decided I need a pick me up!
In the form of a budget for my next car which I've found! Car is known to me and will get me threw the winter and more hopefully! Good spec and is a surprise!
So, that means that around the 27/28th this will be taken off the road in a nice dry, well lit rented garage and very carefully taken apart, and all the bugs fixed, with it being off the road my original plans will be scrapped in favour of something totally different and all the stickers/roof lining will be coming out (but now thrown away) for some subtle lovleyness!
Don't give me s**t, tell me I'm a good boy and good luck with the project.

Re: Mike's Azura. 17/10 moving along.
didnt end up with that engine.
progress is okay though - plans have now been put in place for a garage and also have an updated plan for the whole of the car.
it looks like this now,
it will be off the road 25th oct, making way for this (sneaky picture)
my new plan of action IS!
Full respray in either Moondust Silver or Tourmallard Green.
Fully Undersealed and seem welded.
Fit the parts i have already I.E rear beam.
Surpise engine.
Set of coilovers
Some smoothing + general "trying to stand out" attention to detail.
various other guff
and have it finished by fitp next year.

Yeah, fair enough but my original problem with this is that I did have time - now its not a daily I won't have that problem?
And the only reason previous cars have been scrapped is because they were irriparable? And it wasn't finicially viable.
But fear not I will prove you all wrong

I thought money and time were the issues? If so, you'll have time now, but you'll be spending your money on driving the Polo. I really do hope you prove me wrong, but I can't see you doing anything to this car. You'll try and do something, get stuck, and scrap it.
What was irreparable on the ZS? You told us in earlier posts you scrapped it because 'its s**t and I hate it'.
I hope you do do something with it though!

Re: Mike's Azura. 17/10 moving along.
Just dont look at how cheap coilies are for the polo (very). Lol. Also, word of advice, go easy on the gearbox, they are common issues (my mate has killed 2 in his polo). Also, i do believe the 6n polo 1.4 16v is faster than the 6n2 one, as one has 75bhp and one has 100 me thinks. I hope u get the fezzer done, as it would be nice to see a project get finished good luck dude!!

Re: Mike's Azura. 17/10 moving along.
ive said it more than once now, my job has changed and circumstances have changed, so once this car is off the road i will have time to fit the parts as it can be done over time rather than rushed in an hour because i have to drive it somewhere!
and i dont need to spend THAT much on it because i have most of what i want sitting in my garage already minus coilovers and an engine! which i have until next year to sort out?
and the polo is a 1.4 which is barely going to cost me an arm and a leg to run to work and back everyday and the odd journey out of town.
also its already on coilovers and has a mint pair of splits coming with it - no need to mess with something im already happy with.
you're all going to wish you wernt like this when i actually start and finish it. AND stop fudgekin saying "you'll get bored and scrap it" NO i wont because theres nothing wrong with it that would make me want to do it, not crashed, not a non runner (a s**t running though) not costing me any money when its in a garage locked up.
would appreciate the smart comments and pointless ones to be left out too - isnt very encouraging to come onto the foorum tbh.

Jony, if you've got such a gripe about what Michael does with his cars then don't bother posting on his build threads. From what I've seen from your latest comments you're just posting nonsense to start a poxy internet argument. I thought we'd all grown up and gotten past that?
Michael, plans sound good. If it were me, I'd concentrate on making the Fiesta brake, handle and ride well and then look at doing the engine work once all that's done. There's nothing worse than when people do it the 'wrong' way around!

Cheers choosey and Ben! Everyone's told me to get the brakes sorted first, its obviously on my mind and will come before the cara back on the road I just never mention it! Not gonna try run a 2.0 with 1.1 brakes
Well yeah that's what I mean about having it off the road Ben, I can do it over time and won't have to rush things and make bad desicions or Bodge something up
