I know people running mk3's that are on 135k mate. Just treat them gently, regular oil changes dont snatch gears etc and itll give you another good 30k

I ain't got a clue how many miles my F-Reg has done, it's got an '86 Escort 1.3CVH engine in and as far as I know I've just started it on it's 2nd head
I know I've put on about 10,000 miles in about 6 months but oil changes every 3,000 miles have insured it's still running sweet.
But the idiot who owned it before me thought clocking was clever so who knows!?

on the way down to fitp 01 - was talking and apparently the 30 odd k that u brought it on was the milage of the new engne!
i think he said that it had done something like 90k but been through something like 4 engines so god knows!
Fiestaboy may be able to shed more light on it!!

Mileage is a stupid way to measure the quality of a car. It should be measure in revs, that way a car that has been driven in first all the time but with 30k on the clock will be screwed compared to a 60k granny machine. Oh I know a guy that wrote off a car before it read 1mile on the counter, movin it in the factory!

That's very true about the mileage mate.
The only problem is my engine's done 90,000+ miles and it's been ragged absolutely stupid unfortunately

ah yes but you see, it's not just the milage of the engine that the spedo shows is it, all the other components in the car as well will refelct on the milage that the car has done!!!
