Postby blackbeautyzetec on Wed Jun 17, 2015 12:26 pm

So my efi turbo engine has a misfire but I'm unsure why.

It's not been set up and is running 701 injectors and 195 chip.

Under load with foot down it doesn't miss but if you sit there at around 2k it judders and misses.

I changed the plugs, leads and tried different...

I would check your fuel pressure settings, also could be the throttle position sensor, does it only do it at 2k on light throttle or just light throttle? Are the injectors new? Have they been tested? Getting it checked and set up properly would be the best thing to do as theyl tell you what see it is if it's not something they can sort there n then

Don't think it's injectors as it had other ones in with a 165 chip and I thought that was the issue. So got some other beige injectors and got the chip reprogrammed and checked at Colin performance.

I am going to try a different tps, coil pack and cps and see what happens.

It's at cruising speed of around 2k and if you hold the revs around that. If it's higher then it does miss but no way as much.

if its not set up and you run it with beighes then it needs a 195 chip to fuel properly what the beiges will do is put to much fuel in and youll get bore wash its happened to me before ,id get a set of blues and either try fix it without the chip or run the 165 ,just till u get the problem sorted I doubt its the crank sensor might be the tps ,u can check that with a voltmeter and a change of the co pot means you dont know where the co pot is set Try the blues and 165 chip and even ask an mot station just to set up the co and see how it goes from there I know its not cheap for a proper set up especially if theres a problem I wouldnt think the mot station would take to much .
have you checked the fuel pressure

Right so...

I got the chip checked and reprogrammed to 195 spec.

Tried...
Co pot
Edis
Map sensor
Ecu,Tps, Cps, Plugs,Leads
Coil pack
I also set fuel pressure to the required 3.5bar with vacuum off.

Still have the misfire....looks like it's misfiring all the time but can just tell more around 2k ish.
