missing after fitting intercooler

Postby ludaprix on Mon Jul 03, 2006 8:48 am

hiya guys, last week i fitted my intercooler to my zetec turbo, the piping runs from the turbo, through the intercooler, then out the other side of the intercooler, up into the chargecooler, then back to the tb. but when i started the car it had developed a very bad miss, kinda like how a subaru sounds. i dont know if it should be doing this as ive never fitted a fmic before

any help would be much appreciated

thanks!

i dont usuallly meddle with turbo motors but it could be that your engines ecu is retarding the ignition timing as there has been a drop in turbo pressure from the intercooler. get someone elses opinion but i say turn up the boost
