Mix and match dampers/springs?

Postby wywywywy on Sat Jul 31, 2004 11:04 pm

Hi,

Basically, I have a set of Koni adjustable suspension kit on the car, lowered 30-35mm. And recently I want it a bit lower, to 60mm.

However, Koni don't do only springs, they only sell kits. Now I am not paying 350 pounds for a kit, I would like to use my dampers if possible.

So, can I buy springs from PI or Spax etc and put them on my Koni shocks? And would the handling be ruined? (not that my car has great handling right now, but anyway)

And, does it matter being adjustable?

Thanks.

What you have to think about is ... Will your Koni shocks take such a drop ??
