yea i am have decided to make the perfect balance between a track car and a every day car some say it cannot be done some agree with me so my plan is to fit the interior on quick release clips so they can be removed quickly and to keep weight down i am not runnig a sub and have decided to get rid to keep weight down and instaed am running the fli speakers that are in place and then hookin the 6x9 and the door card fli speakers i have to my fli amp and i will mount the speakers to a stealth shelf and the amp the the back of the back seats so it will all come out easy.

and i am going to bye more exterior pannals like wider bolt on arches for the wheel base and a new bonnet so i can chop it back and put vents in to keep temps down and new bumpers so i can get more vents in that and a splitter things like that also i am going to use aero flush fitting lockable bonnet pins on the bonnet and bumpers.

so i doing this the day before the track i can switch all the pannals over and go from my standard fiesta to my track fiesta.

so i have my plan now and i am sticking with it i am real hyped to see were this goes but it will be a long road till the fineshed product is here but i am making it my mission to keep work flowing on the fez finish the girlfreind to save cash stop talking to familly to avoid paying b days and x mas anything it takes i will do hahahahhahahahaha

xr2irhys i'm not running a sub box save on the waight

what :-?

if you have a alram fitted then the locking and unlocking can be done by that, if you dont then you can buy remote kits that connect up.

binning the ford stuff in favour for these cheap things off ebay is not a good idea, as your still be in the same boat

well i had a fli setup off my old car so i decided to keep the 1ns that were in the car and run 6x9's and another set of the small speakers off my amp but am thinking about swapping the door speakers for a sub box i may keep my twin 16in sub box but it is a bit big so i am thinking of taking out the 16in speakers and placing them in a stealth shelf but i dont know may be a bit OTT for me lol

Not much to report credit crunch is kicking my ass at the mo lol.
Gave her a good t cut session and gave her a shampoo and she came up spanking and i hadnt even polished her yet.

Also my omp steering wheel came along with my snap off kit and hub.
Fitted it all up and the hub was the wrong 1 so sent that back and awaiting the correct one.

found the fault today was a roasted wire in the loom sourted it now runs fine but i am goin'g to have to adress heat issue's in the engine bay and wire organasition so i'm going to tidy all wiring up make sure it's took'd safe away to stop any wires gettin melted again and also i think i will cover all wires with heat sheath and thermo tape to stop wires gettin burned as i am plannig a street track female provider of 'horizontal refreshment' so the sheath should be a big help under hard use will post some pics when the parts get delivered and i have fitted them :D

guttted about the wirring for intrest was it the air temp wire as i had always though the random days when it would be silly chuggin down to the maf sensor as after it was driven at 5k rpm it would jump to life again obviosuly was resistance

ow your still rite m8 the chuggin is still there just not as bad now the burn was further up in the loom so i will heve to trace the wire to find out wot it affected but works just as before now i just need to get my self to the local ford brakers to get a new maf and itle be sound.

I have had this before i mean a big engine in a small bay like that and its bount to happen and the clips that hold the loom are not up to much with how stiff the car is soon as it thuds the wireing was just falling out the clips so i have ordered new fixings and 3 metters of heat sheath and a few rolls of thermo tape.
As its happend this time its bount to happen when it hits the track and the temps really rise so will do a load of good to do it.

also ordered some goodrich brake lines too they were despaced today so should be here soon :D

started to develop a knocking noise from the gear box and its worrying me a bit.
also clutch is a bit stiff and is somtimes hard to engage into gear going to get some ramps and investigate further.
hope its not a frigged box as i dont think i can afford a new 1 but if it is i think a IB5 box will be put in.

also still waiting on exhaust system

HCS PIMP :have u been doing some hard launches was fine for me even when dynoed doing 110mph could be that a 90bhp gearbox is strugglin with the extra power lol u could try getting a diesel or rs1800 box

ow i wasnt sayin it had owt to do with when you had her (dont worry mr pimp i know i got a dam fine car lol  ) i havent really launched it yet if i am honest.
but it could be somthing minor like the clutch cable as i have herd they are troblesome :x .

if the box was on its way out it wouldnt drive ok and when i lay into the pedal it still goes like stink but just it doesnt have the same snap as it did and i think it will get worse so all heavy driving is off the cards for the fez 4 now till a new box is found :( .

i have 2 options for boxe's as dalsy from fez si has helped me narow it down.
aceleration route
IB5 box with S2 RST LSD and RST crown wheel and pinion which has a 3.8 :1 final drive.

TOP SPEED
RST diff and Diesel MK4 box which has a final drive of 3.6:1 but i have to get that final drive checked 2 be sure.

so should be really intresting ither way looking forward to it :) .

u should check out that dalsy's fez track  beast  1st spied it in performance ford a while a go and then found it on fez si love it hope to have mine like his 1 day here is a link if you wonna check it out i dont know if you have to signe up or not tho.

nope i thought the same till i noticed i was getting rub on the arches on real hard cournering and when the lift off over steer kicks in so i messured them to my surprise there 16in u wouldnt have thought it would you.

and the starter is fine its just that the ashaly manifold clashes with the zetec starter moter so i need to use a cvh 1 but for the gain in power save and power i am going to go for an upgraded item from rally sport they look nifty lil starter moter for the money
