Mk 4 dash in a Mk3 fezzy

wot is actually involved in getting it to fit...
1- in terms of the size (i.e. does it just slot into place n u have 2 feck about drilling new holes to mount it, ordo u have to shave/cut it down to get it to fit??)
2- in terms of the wiring (i.e. do the 2 cars use the same multiplug connectors or wopuld i need the ones off the Mk 4 n connect these 2 the Mk 3 wires????)

Some mods are easy, some are more tricky. Without giving all my secrets away, the dash is the right size but there are lots of little bits which don't mount up correctly, and the wiring is 100% different, including all the connectors.

i take it by 1) yes u meant i would have to shave the dash down to get it to fit and 2) no- you meant that both dahses do use the same connectors??? :???:
