Mk III turbo project

Postby slowrider on Tue Nov 29, 2005 10:04 pm

Hi there!

Im the happy owner of a nice fiesta 1,3i from 1993.
The only problem is that it's to damn slow...
I've been offered a turbo from a nissan cherry 1,5 L wich i think i'll buy.
The problem is, what do i need to convert the old 1,3i to a 1,3i turbo ???
If someone could tell me what i need to change and what to buy it would help me alot.
I dont have a fortune, so i'd would be okay to use old parts from a bigger fiesta such as a 1,6... So if somebody have any ideas please let me know.

Thanks...
The fiesta needs more power

assuming the turbo and manifold are not a single unit (not point using that turbo otherwise)

custom made exhaust manifold
custom made down pipe
custom made inlet pipework

then either custom made inlet / ka inlet or old standard inlet
either standard management (assuming you go no higher than 0psi and use standard inlet) or aftermarket management
remap if you cant map your aftermarket ecu yourself

oil feed pipe to turbo
oil return to sump

gaskets
sealer
washers
hose clips
joining hoses
