im not sure mate but i think some cuttingout is needed, the inner wing is needed to be cut to fit the gear box unless you stick with the 4speed item,
like i say mate im not 100% but im sure i have read that somewhere here! lol

Re: MK1 FIESTA RS TURBO ENGINE CONVERSION
im just away to do this to my mk2, best advice you can get on this is on http://www.xrtwo.com but heres the basics
1: you need a fiesta centre cvh fitting kit and 5 speed conversion,
2:cut the n/s inner wing to clear the 5 speed box
3: you need a 1.4 cfi mk2 fuel injected tank or a external swirl pot in the boot
4: think on the mk1 you have to get a modified front pipe to clear the x member as you cant cut the the same as the mk2
5: you need to wire in the frst engine loom in (wiring diagram on the xrtwo website) which is easyer than it sounds
6: fit a frst radiator and intercooler and cut the front panel to mount the fan or fit a xr2 radiator with a front mount intercooler
7: better stick with the t2 as fitting the t3 will give you allot more work for clearance issues
it is easyer if you have a doner car with all the bits
