Mk2 Fiesta 1.8 Zetec Conversion Help!!!! Please
I bought a 1.1 mk2 to turbo convert it but it failed mot on serious rust so i bought another mk2 1.6 diesel. I am not going down the turbo route just yet, i have bought a 105ps Zetec 1.8 from an XR2i which i will be fitting. For the moment it will be staying this spec until i have more money to run it as a zetec turbo. Could someone help me by telling me everything that i need in a list i.e. fuel system etc as i dont think they made any injection mk2's. So far i have......
Engine and gearbox and shafts from XR2i 16v
Engine wiring loom
XR2i ECU
How exactly could i set the fuel system up, i wouldnt mind a nice alloy tank in the boot with a swirl pot etc but how is this set up etc and do you need 2 pumps? I would be really grateful for some help off someone as im at the stage where i can start fitting things. Cheers

I HAVE A MK2 WITH A 130PS 1.8 zetec in it, unfortunatly i didnt go the conversion but, when doing research on xr2.com when i was building my own turbo one until fouind shell was worthless, i fouund that easyest option is to buy an injection tank from fiestacentre, but other wise you need a phacet(sp) pump pumping to a swirl pot then the main fuel pump after that, i think correct me if im wrong anyone

Steve aka ‘Scort’ on this site has done this, iirc he used a tank that came from some rare injection mk2 only available in Spain or something. I’m sure he’ll see this post and give you more detail. Have a search for this topic under his name and I’m sure you’ll find the post too.
