MK2 Fiesta Ghia - Low and Slow. *coilovers*
I got this last Saturday and haven't had a chance to get any proper pics or even clean it yet! but I thought id get some pics up before fitp so everyone knew who the car belongs to as I wont be in the RS this year.
The only took pics I have are after me a Fiend lowered it 50mm. It needs to go lower on the front so il be cutting a coil off on Saturday morning.
The cars done 50k with a a full service history. I bought it off a old boy who lived near reading. He knew loads about cars and had rebuilt the engine and fitted a new head! so it runs perfect.
Future plans:
Wheels : Alleycats/RS 4 spokes/something with dish.
Suspension: 75mm rear with adjustable panhard rod.
Exhaust: full stainless.
Fully pollybush it.

I felt bad enough buying it off him and watching him waving as we drove off down the road.

Re: MK2 Fiesta Ghia.
Looks like the RS1800 is sold so il have some extra cash for the MK2. If I have time on Friday im gunna go up to the fiesta center and get an ashley xr2 system then get powerflow to change it to fit. I have my eye on these wheels 7j rear and 6j front. il do a refurb on them either gold dish with black center or vice versa. what does everyone think?

Re: MK2 Fiesta Ghia. *Update* wheels and Exhaust.
I got alot done this week and now im finally happy with the car. It just needs to go slightly lower on the front and it will be perfect. I picked up a new set of wheels today, RS Accessory 13x6j and I got my ashley fitted yesterday. The exhaust sounds amazing, kind of like a mk2 escort, it pops on overrun also fitted some JBL GTO speakers in the rear quaters with some stuff from halfords that looks like meccano
Exhaust, ratty but a bargain at £60:

Quote of the day
1800jamie - very nice Mk2. Im growing very fond of these old fiesta's. Starting to like them more than my Rs atm which is a bit worrying. Im not too keen on the chrome around the windows on the ghia models. Does it come off at all ?
Looks very nice lowered

Dont think the chrome does come off. I had the same issue with my mk1, i bought some base spec window seals in the end, but never fitted them. Come to think of it ive still got them, rears only mind

we all make mistakes clark, i grew out of it fairly quick
chrome is the love hate thing, i dont like it, but unless it was going funny, i would leave it, its part of the ghia

Re: MK2 Fiesta Ghia.*Update* K&N fitted.
never fitted a K&N on a little engine like that mate, mainly cos i never had one really, but my xr2 years ago had a K&N, and it sounded great, could hear it sucking like a sl@g, sounded so good
and for £17 for that mate, bargin for sure!

Once Ive got a bit more money il get a set of lower profile tires on then space them out. At the moment they rub slightly over big bumps

Yea you can hear it sucking from from the inside of the car. It drowns out the screaming engine when I rev it hard

Ken was quite the repair man in his day.
And a video that would make him turn in his grave*..
(before the k&n was fitted)
*Ken is believed to still be alive and well.
