MK2 Fiesta Ghia - Low and Slow. *coilovers*
Re: MK2 Fiesta Ghia - Low and Slow. *Exhaust picture*
MK2 Jamie :3lward :That picture is epic!, any plans for the car engine wise?
No real plans for the engine as im putting money aside for an RS Turbo will still doing bits to the MK2. I might put some bike carbs on next summer just because its a cheap and fun modification.
+1, Bike carbs FTW! Just gotta buy the kit then get it fitted. RSTurbo eh? Lucky! Damn insurance, my day will come.

not saying there is, expect theyre unbeleiveable slow and offer very few thrills, anything slower than the 1.6 and i feel outmatched by most things out there, i prefere my car to be quicker than that
obviously others have different tastes

Mate im 19, i got plenty of time for fast cars engine conversions and just happy with the cheap motoring my car gives me.
i changed my mind against the ideas of new cars purely down to the fact i want to go see my brother in canada and with me starting a new job i can finally afford to go out again.
Jony is your car all declared and insured as a 1.8 without fronting?

My MK2, for a 1.1, isnt slow but its not fast. It will sit on the motorway all day long at 80mph...did 100mph on the gps down a hill past an XR2 on the way to fitp this year I owned an RS1800 for 2 years previous to this. Its not out of taste that I have this MK2 its because at the time of needing a new car I couldn't another RS as much as I wanted one. Like I said before im now saving for an RS Turbo.

Yea gotta love having 4 years driving with a clean license and 3 years no clams plus being 23, means insurance is a decent price.

It's weird because some of my mates insurance goes wayyyy down rapidly when they get another years NCB, but with me it's going down very slowly. I don't understand. Obviously depends on where you live and what car you have? And to be honest, where I live, it's not the safest of places.

Yeah, shame really. I live in the centre of Windsor, Berkshire. Right next to clubs, nightclubs, bars, pubs, loads a drunks come down my road, had alot of dents and things done to my car. It's parked on a public street aswell, one way. So my loss I guess. Wish I had a garage, but in my area, there's none to be seen.

ouch james, you need to add your family to the policy, could bring it down a bit
its a mk3.5 too it should be cheaper!
im 20, 2 years ncb (3 in dec) all decleared including the alarm duel airbag package, and its £1,199 a year with quinn
plus i can swap the insuarance over to another car usually free if its less desirable than the policy car free for upto 2 weeks, byt that time i can just renew it again
plus any bhp non enhancing mods are free, such as wheels or suspention
i plan to get an RST after im 23 as it will be alot cheaper then, you syhould be fine jamie

Yeah that's life... Won't get any easier.
I'm looking around at the end of the year for a cheaper quote. Hopfully I'll find one, and hopfully my isurance goes down rapidly when I hit 21, then it'll be easier. But I've known people that just turn 21, and it doesn't change abit. Robbing insurance.

Re: MK2 Fiesta Ghia - Low and Slow. *Exhaust picture*
I went down to Powerflow after work on Thursday to have the XR2 exhaust fitted. Took about half an hour and cost £30 which I didn't think was too bad really. It sounds good, its quite deep and throaty but not overly loud, also it is basically straight through as I had the resonator on the downpipe cut out. It think it looks a lot better then the original peashooter exhaust as this has a larger tailpipe that sticks straight out and sits flush under the fog light. The car is absolutely filthy in the picture because I haven't had the motivation to clean it in the this weather
