MK2 Fiesta Ghia - Low and Slow. *coilovers*
Re: MK2 Fiesta Ghia - Low and Slow. *New wheels*
Mines a 2.0l zetec, 4 branch, s/s zorst, air filter & chipped and it revs very well. My brother has a rs1800 Fiesta which does not seem to rev as freely as my 2.0l. Hes just finished a 2.0l transplant on his mk2 fiesta now as well and again it revs very well.
Either way though either 1.8 or 2.0l they are so much fun and you will be surprised how well it will go. A standard base model 1.1 mk2 fiesta is 765kg so if you had around 140hp then your looking at PTWR of 183 which is extreamly good, to put that in context the mk1 Focus RS has a PTWR of around 170.

That's pretty crazy! The engine I was going to buy has sold which is annoying so its back to the drawing board. I went to the scrap yard today and they said £125 for a 2.0 zetec with ecu and loom which isnt bad....but ive gotta take it out myself

MK2 Jamie :Summer:
Remove bump strips, get rid of the stone chip and spray were the stone chip was the same gold as the car.
remember beneath the side mouldings are holes in the doors and rear quarters where they slot mount on

MK2 Jamie :EUFez :Jamie - What other plans do you have in mind for this year? Apart from coilovers? Looking great and can't wait to see it.
Ive got a few things planned. Money is a bit tight at the moment as work can only offer me a 20 hour contract but hopefully things will pick up soon and il go onto a 30/35 hour contract, anyway the plans:
Before FITP:
Coilovers
Fit satin black steel bumpers
Roofrack
Summer:
Remove bump strips, get rid of the stone chip and spray were the stone chip was the same gold as the car.
1.8 zetec conversion (maybe, depends on money)
Winter/New year
Have all the front panels on the car replaced to make it minty mint.
Sounds great pal. Although I've always liked the bump strips on the Mk2, so I'd keep them on. No one else seems to like them. I guess on a old skool car - "Plastic is not Fantastic"

I finished spraying the 2 fronts ones on Friday evening so there all on and painted. I would have given the car a clean today and posted some pictures but I wanted to give the paint a few days to harden. I put some pictures up Monday, I would do it tomorrow but im working 10-5

Sounds good pal. I need to refurb mine and spray the centres too. I have soft and hard steel wool, a file, polishes etc. I hope it comes out good for me. Unsure on the centres though. May respray them Gold or spray them some kind of Cheery/Dark red. Unsure really, we'll see. But yeah, get some pictures up asap.

that would be the result of the four branch which is allowing your 2.0 to rev up freely, im sure once mine is on it will rev better if what they say about the 1.8 eing more revvy is true

I disagree - my brother has just put a 2.0l in his mk2 fiesta which has a cast standard manifold and it revs just the same as his rs1800.
A few years back I had an R reg 2.0l mondeo and it revved just the same.

Re: MK2 Fiesta Ghia - Low and Slow. *New wheels*
I finally got round to finish off painting the wheels on Friday and haven't had a chance since to wash the car and get some pics. I had a day off work today and it was raining till the afternoon so I didn't get a chance to start washing my car till 4 by the time I was done it was dark, it only did a quick wash too! I got a couple of ones in the dark which come out cool but I want some better ones so I went to the multi-storey car in town
It was almost pitch black when I took this!
