mk2 xr2 rwd conversion DIY anyone???
has anyone converted a mk2 xr2 into rwd diy? i know it involves a lot of work and i want to know what parts i need to do the job and i need to know what kind of suspension set up i need and i need to know if i need to build a tunnel????

I've said it before, and I will say it again, the tunnel is the very least of your problems, but yes you will need one.
There is no 'guide' for this and only a very few people are in any way qualified to answer it as very few people have done it, certainly on these boards.
It sounds harsh, but if your asking the question then probably you shouldn't be thinking about doing it.
I will give you a head start though, the 'easiest' way is to use something that is already RWD, and has the engine and axles you want in your XR2 and use the floor & other parts.
Talking from experience, this conversion is costly and very time consuming.

Mate one sierra floorpan to your own shell and hope for the best or take £1500 to the likes of AG motorsport and have it converted to take cossie running gear!

well i have everything off a sierra cossie starting from gearbox backwards rite down to brake discs and every single nut and bolt. i had few quotes and they were £2000 and £2500 i brought all my bits from rsturbo breakers and they were very helpfull and they gave me this guys number and they said he is realy good the only trouble is i am in london they r in bournemouth so i will think about it. £1500 dont sount too bad compare to other quotes i had to be honest and i will call those guys on monday unless they r open tmoro? thanks for all ur answers if i was to run my zetec turbo with cossie management system is that a good combination? and will i need anything else to go with it?
