Mk3 1.1 to 1.8 zetec conversion help?

Postby Kentiish on Wed Oct 28, 2015 9:21 pm

Right I've done some research but can't find exactly what I'm after.

I've got a mk3 1.1 CFI ( single point injection ) wanting to put a 1.8 zetec in. I can get my hands on a complete mk5 escort for nothing as a donor car for the conversion.

Mechanical side of things aren't a problem as I've done a few zetec engine swaps before however I've never kept them on the standard ford injection

Will I be able to transfer the engine loom from the mk5 escort? Or will it be possible to keep some of my original loom to run the zetec?

Any help/ advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
