mk3 1.3 is now 2.0
after my last post on engines. i looked at rs turbo engine. problems with the age of the car and catalitic convertors.
best option was a 1.8 zetec bored out to 2.0.
upgraded the brakes to some tarox discs and pads.
and f**k me it goes. sooooo fast
i love it

Sweeeeeeeeeeet :D
Similar to what my engine conv was... 1.1 - 2.0 (but if u ignore the 1.1 that was only there for a yr or so, then u have 1.0 - 2.0 )
Glad ur happy with it
U uprated the gearbox and driveshafts tho??? I didn't and my car has been off the road being fixed for the last month.

the sub is a fusion jonah lomu 15"
the amps are both DLS A3 dual monoblocks. 1 runs bridged at 2 ohm for the sub and the other is running my focal components.
sub is getting approx 950w rms and the front comps are getting 160w rms per side.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but the 2.0 zetec is not a bored-out 1.8....I thought it was a longer stroke engine running a different crank and bottom end...in which case source a 2.0 bottom end... There's always the risk of overboring and therefore well and truly buggering a good engine
