its the same as the si, 1.6 16v DOHC. there might be little differences between that and the si such as the bore of the standard exhaust but otherwise its the same.

bumbers???
I think it's definitely the same 1600 Zetec that is fitted to the Mk 3.5 (94-95) 1.6 16V Si.
An induction kit for this engine, should set you back about £75-£100. You can get a K&N57i for around £80 from most of the companies you see in the magazines. You can get a full Magnex or Mongoose exhaust system for this car for about £250 with a 3inch or 4inch tailpipe. I'd recommend these exhausts rather than the BB4 you are after, just purely because of the quality. But if you want to be loud....then so be it, I cannot condone the use of the BB4 under any circumstances!!! (They're for Novas!!!)
This is basically the same car as the 1.6 16V Si, the Ghia didn't have the sporty feel of the Si, such as the rounded front and rear bumpers, wingback sport seats, slightly stiffer and lower suspension, rear spoiler and lower profile tyres. The Ghia came with the normal Ghia equipment, plus any factory added optional extras.

I have the exact same car as you!
Its a 1597cc 16 Valve DOHC EFI Zetec engine.
Im pretty sure it is the same as the Si engine of similar age.
I was lookin at a BB4, but it is not available for the car, you have to get a BB2 system as you mentioned before. Becasue i wanted a 4" backbox, i just ordered a Sportex backbox from EVO. It was £80, and very good too. Its only a stainless pipe i know, but well worth it as it looks class, and sounds coooool.
Induction kits for the XR2i 16 valve, and RS1800i will work with the car i do believe (dnt quote me on that)
