mk3 1.6 si sump plug gasket?

mk3 1.6 si sump plug gasket?

ford gave me a sump plug gasket which looks like just a white plastic / nylon ring. is this correct? i thought it would have been copper or aluminium and deffo not plastic / nylon.??

Yep ford used nylon sump plug washers

cant remember off the top of my head, its not very tight though otherwise you damage the washer, just nip it up

ok cool will be doing the oilchange soon, my filter arrived from America and so did my denso itv16 iridium spark plugs so will get cracking when I get some time free.

do the nylon washers have any issues with leaking or is there a better one to use?
if so what size should i get and what type?
