you dont need to worry about getting the new ones in as they just slot in without any hassle.

you could burn them out yes. you taking the rear beam off the car?

no wonder you struggled to get them out ben! you shouldnt leave the beam on the car?!

far easier with the beam off, its only 2 more bolts...

i didnt need to cut nothing, a mallet and a few wacks the thing pops out

Why would you want to go through all the hassle of undoing 10+ bolts to get the drums and beam off.. or clamp the brake lines ect then have to bleed the brakes, all to replace the bushes - when you can undo 2 bolts and you have full access to them... if you worked in a garage you'd get a kick up the arse for sure! lol

Found out the little hole on the inner sill is slightly big and stretches to some of the lower sill too!! :( and the other side has a little hole!! Good design there, making a place for all the water to collect and eat through!! I will add some pics when i can be arsed, probably when its all done!!

Hi people!! Quite a bit of random fixing today!! The holes in the sills have been prepped, welded and undersealed. The flo flex rear bushes r in!! And just other boring stuff like fixing exhaust blows (about time) lol.
Picture of the worst sill before
Image
Random fiesta floatyness (ripped the splitter off trying to get it on the trailer, then grounded out, so gave up)
Image
Then the bushes fitted
Image
The old bushes came out with a few ehacks of the hammer and the new ones i pushed in with a bit of persausion with my hand. So i was lucky really. I couldnt get a decent picture of the sill after it was welded but its been coated with underseal now so never mind!! :(

Yeah my old man is a welder so he did the welding part (it would be daft not to really) and i did the holding and trying not to get arc eye!! Lol. Yeah jay my mate had his mk3 go in the same place and so did my gf's mk4 so it seems to be a trend!! :( it does seem to handle a bit better with these bushes so happy days!!
