I'm going to need some tyres soon i believe as the rears are looking quite low :(
I currently have 185/55/13's they might be 60's i cant remember!! I am after some slightly less bulky ones, maybe 155,165 or something, what do people reccommend??

people on the XRtwo forum love 175/50/13's, and to be fair theyre stunning on a lowered car with pots

but personaly i dont see much wrong with chunky tyres on small wheels, the capri has 185/65/13's my pots have 175/65/13

55s wouldnt be bad either if 50s are heard to get

Yeah i think 175/50/13 is the way forward!! Also, i know if i buy wheel spacers i will need longer wheel studs, but can i get say 10mm spacers and use the standard studs or should i use them straight away??

wouldnt have said you'd need spacers tbh, pots are wide wheels for theyre size (well for standard wheels that is)

i have 5mms on the back of the mk2 and they sit nicely, nothing on the front

my advice, if your going bigger than 5mm, go for hubcentric spacers, yes theyre expensive, but theyre fit and forget, no out of balance wheels, no struggling to get the wheel on, they even come with studs i think

i have 15mm one son the back of the mk3 :)

these are 50's Image

Easy to replace. It is only two bolts, you just need to get the car high up on axle stands.

yeah i was thinking then lol, its by your feet, but you need to unbolt it fromt he rack int he engine bay, bit of a pig while engine is in the car

i dont know if thats to fault though, it would make wooley streering if worn, but dotn think hard steering is a symptom

When I can be bothered lol. The car doesn't get much use at the moment, I don't have any major needs for it, so it sits in the garage and I go out in my mates car with her - saves me a lot of money lol.

I'm sure I will show you it over the summer months :)

you'd be suprised how cheap you can get an engine for, the 1800 i have, back when i fitted it to the mk4, i bought it for £80 complete with EVERYTHING from an escort estate, subframe, loom, box, pumps etc etec

after selling the engine that come out of the mk4, and all the other s**t, i actually made my money back and profited £20 :P
