Mk3.5 Fiesta Zetec Turbo Azura - DEPOSIT TAKEN
This is going to be a long post, so apologies in advance but I've owned this car for for around 8 years and even though I have only covered around 2500 miles I still have a lot to say about it! A brief history..
* I bought the car in 2008 with 51k miles, two previous owners and a clean shell with a couple of rust spots in the usual places.
* In October 2009 the car went to Hine Motors (Ford) in Shaftesbury (after they were recommended by Shaun/CarbonBoy on here) for some bodywork repairs to be carried out. I have photos of the car before before and during this work.
* Over the next few years (!) the car evolved from what you see below..

If you do not know me, I am particularly fussy with my cars in so this is the main reason it took so long to get this far! The car is not what I would call 100% finished, but it was MOT'd with one advisory in August last year and I have been using the car occasionally (Approx 1000 miles) since. Being very critical, the following things need doing on the car (in order of what I deem important, top to bottom)
* The Cooling system needs re-plumbing, it is currently routed like a CVH with but with no thermostat in place. With a stat the coolant foams up. (I copied the cooling system from photos of the engine in its previous home, which is obviously wrong!)
* Set-up/map by Ahmed at Grove Garage, the car ECU has been lived mapped but I know the car is running lean.
* This may show up that the radiator is too small/not good enough. It is a standard FRST size in alloy, but I don't think its the best.
* The clutch biting point tends to move, IE sometimes it is low and sometimes it is high. A press of the pedal can move it back to where it should be, so I assume it is pedal related. I didn't get round to looking at it.
* The exhaust needs a hanger fabricating at the front, it is currently held up by a ratchet strap (my biggest bodge, apologies!)
* The fuel gauge does not work, the float may be stuck on the 1.1 swirl pot or it may be broken.
* The rev counter doesn't read correctly, its probably the wrong one or needs adjusting
* The steering feels stiffer to turn one way than the other, I'm not sure why but I doubt the rack is at fault as it is a very low mileage item which I got from MWStewart.
This list is probably not conclusive, but as I said - I'm being critical, the car is perfectly drivable.
I'm rambling now, but if you got this far you must be slightly interested and you will want to know what its going to cost you! Obviously I've spent thousands on the car and want to get as much of this back as possible, preferably without breaking it.
To give an idea, the car cost me £950, the bodywork was £1000 and the engine package cost me £2000. Given the value of the parts on the car, I am currently looking for (DEPOSIT TAKEN) for the car. I am very open to discussion and if you want to swap and change or remove parts from the car (to an extent!) something could be arranged.
This is a big one for me, but the time has come to move it on! If you are interested or have any questions please get in touch via the PM system on here.
Thanks, Max
