MK3 Fiesta RS1800 lowering issues HELP
My RS1800 has just been lowered around 35-40mm front and back... on a g-max lowering kit consisting of shocks and springs.
The standard wheels and profiles should be 14x6 and tyres 185 55 14 from memory.
The wheels on the car are ford 15x7 with 195 45 15 tyres and I'm now getting pretty strong rubbing when hitting bumps, heavy braking on uneven roads and on angled roads / strong cambers. I also have 6mm spacers fitted currently. In a straight line and over larger bumps seem to be ok strangely... I've checked all around the arch and inside and can't see any evidence of where they are catching and I'm confused?????
It's drivable and useable but ideally I don't want the rub as I dare put my foot down, my mate has an RST that's slammed but on original 13" rims and doesn't have any of the issues I now have.
Just wondered if changing back to original wheel size will solve this or if there is anything else anyone can advise or suggest?

Might sound a daft question but are the arch liners clipped in properly on the arch-lip?
Pushing the wheels out 6mm or so does risk catching the arch... you're also using Gmax which have the build quality of an early 90s Skoda lol.
Where exactly is it rubbing though? Inside edge or outer/top lip?

I think it's the inner, way inner because I can't see any evidence at all such as marks on the tyre or arch alike.
Oh dear ref gmax I hadn't realised they were sh!t - they were an eBay special as I've just paid a fair chunk on paintwork and corrective works. The ride and handling is pretty sweet just the rubbing that's p-ing me off.

Do you know what offset the wheels are? And what make/model tyres? I run the same size wheels/tyres and mine's dropped well below 40mm. I only get rubbing on large dips or on a very hard full-lock.
Ideally you need to work out where it's rubbing first and go from there. The insides normally wear behind the front of the tyres against the archliner, there will be a hefty mark there if they are.
Could be a combination of wheel offset/spacers clipping the arch lip or something. Hard to say for sure until you know exactly where it's rubbing.
