Re: MK3-MATT's 5-Door.
Few piccies of how she stands i found on my phone, seems ages since i've put some up.
Changed the rocker gasket last month as it seemed a bit gunked up round that area, turned out to be split
Gave the inside of the rocker a good clean and on with the new gasket at the costly sum of £2.49
and now a few pics
Cheers

Yeah i've been using it 8 months now, I''ve had 7000 miles of trouble free motoring from her
and as far as SI kit working or not; when you've seen it like that for over a year it does The only reason it you say that is becuase they never did a radiant red SI.

I guess some don't like change. Theres been plenty red SI reps in the past, on the internet anyway. Never seen one in flesh. Makes me a little different anyway. Most people dont know what the hell it is

agh f**k he ruined an actual SI!
damn thou mate, you could probably straighten yours out, but bearing in mind it will be weaker
maybe have a stong piece of steel welded to the rear crossmember to add some impact strength in case it happens again?

Neither are propper si's - both 1.1 hcs. And I'm not too arsed about it's strenghth should it happen again to be brutally honest, I just want to get it looking how it did before again.
And yeah it's pretty much as bent as it is in pic to be fair mate
Im suprised how well it held up actually because his is actually fcuked and I ended up with slight whiplash. The exhaust seems to have took alot of the brunt too because the midsections folded back about 10 inch
I don't know what to do with it really because we're not going through the insurance and I can't afford the insurance on a different car if i was to change until I get my years NCB.

Re: MK3-MATT's 5-Door. - Crash damaged 10/11/10
nah no way, its a 1.1 fiesta mae its hardly worth upping your premium, its not even worth losing a no claims like you said or loosing your current policy
block of wood and a sledge hammer, try and put the dent in the floor out and getsome spport for the rear panel, so its not a complete bodge!
good luck with it mate
