mk3 steering, help

mk3 steering, help

picked up a mk3 h-reg for much cheapness, only real problem is the steering, its VERY light for the 1st 2 or 3 inches (left and right) but after that it gets really heavy (more so to the left),

changed the universalk steering joint but still the same,

n e idea's?

i got a similer problem with mine dude someone said theres a bearing on the steering colum itself have you tried this ? if it is send us a pm because ive got to change this myslef after trying to grease it up that is!

are u driving along when it does this? if so the front trackings out and what he sed ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ its should b just below the steering wheel/stalks

driving ans stationary, plenty of play then excessively heavy.

Sound like the problem to me and the old owner may of taken the steering wheel of and put it back on to make it look straight

:lol: havent got a clue never had to change one, it could b the rack thats fooked or no grease [ERRR] its old unfortunatly its one ov those things i have to c to tell u whats wrong
