MK4 1.3 EFI engine?

Postby djtom69 on Sat Apr 08, 2006 4:30 pm

hi guys, i've got a new car just wondering if theres any thing i can do to pick up revs.

my 1.3 is really good at acceleration, during lower and higher revs but mid range seems a little weak like theres a flat spot

my plan is to change the oil and filter this week as it is black and dont know when i was last changed as i bought the car thursday, and put my new premium spark plugs in.

ive put some super unleaded in which made a bit off difference, i was wondering if any 1 knew what else i could do? and what oil would you recommend?

im not after speed as such just sumthing that would make a difference during mid range engine revs

cheers from tom

I had that very engine. Adding induction kit made it seem to have less torque and adding an exhaust just made a bit of noise. with only 60bhp and some having 50bhp, there's not much you can do with it without spending silly money which would be a complete waste im afraid.
