as the day nears when i finally get my mk4, i want to kno is the suspension the same in the mk4 and 5 models? i want to kno is it worth me buying a really good kit if i can fit it to the zetec-s i plan to buy a few years down the line? cheers :)

I wouldn't expect any shocks, no matter what brand, to last you 4-5 years.

Iirc some of the Z-s models had different rear spring setups ("pig tail springs") - try http://www.zetecs.com for more info :aviator:

On 08/98 the lower rear shock mouting points were changed from "fork type" to "eye type" so if the mk4 u r getting is prior to this date theres no way you can use the same rear suspension setup.
