llama its either that or gold

what you laughing about yours are green! :P

got the 2.0 cams today which wayne gladly sent me along with my long delayed show plaque from last years ford sport show at weston

got the cams fitted with help from Matt, tbh i was expecting more power from them, but i understand that the potential will only be fully "unlocked" once i get it remapped or maybe with a 2.0 ecu

but it was swapped over and timed up fine no issues which is always a good thing

they have made it more responsive and have a tad more grunt though, specially in 3rd :oooh:

four branch next on my list, then a Remap and dyno session, need to sdave up a bit for these though, both almost £200 each :oooh:

just been getting through some of the niggly things thats been anoying me

firstly the bumpers been hanging off, problem with the mk4 bumpers is the studs that hold them on snap easy, so this bumper only has one good stud on it, but it wasnt tightened much, as the stud was bad, so i spaced it using a big nut, then tightened the right nut on it so it holds well, other place was the bolt at the wheel arch, another issue these mk4s had, the plastic ring would snap off, and the bolt would have nothing to grip to, but with some thought i sued a big washer and rubber ring to snadwich whatw as left fo the ring so it has somewhat of a hold... for now

im considering a Zetec S bumper, would see the end of this issue lol, plus the paint on my bumper is poor

other thing i done was my side repeaters was franked, bad pattern smoked ones were always hanging out too much, so dug out the ones i salvaged from matts old mk4 i broke and popped them on, they hace the clips for it and fit like a glove

Image

caught it on a flash first attempt :Q

and while i was reparing my bumper i refitted the splitter after a big ditch up some farm land took it off lol, put new washers on the screws so it should stay on even if it hits something now :Q

Image

still anoyed byt he engine its idling crap, think it needs setting up properly by a tuner, anyone know where its best to take it and what option to ask for?

All for now :)

ok some of you know
ive put a deposite on a new car, may come as a supprise to some, but relly ive been rsther unhappy with the mk4 for a few weeks

things like it idling poor, brakes have warped so judder like f**k, bumper on its arse, the paint and fitting on its f**cked, also things like the tyres being too big and rub like hell
so im just going to put it aside, come back to it later or in tim i may decide to break it for parts and keep what i want, or i might just sell it it, but for now its jus going to stay threre

instead of paying for all this to be solved and still possibly be unhappy with the car, id rather just get a car ive wanted since i wrote of my one

a fiesta Si 1.6

its got a full ford service history till 89k miles, had its 3rd owner for next 3k and was serviced by other garages, untill it was part ex'd at its current milage 92.9k
was used mainly in london by the same owner that regulalry took it to ford servicing
its got a next to full electrics pack, including front heated screen, boot pop, central locking and leccy windows

lots of money spent on it and plenbty of care taken, only issues is slight surface rust on the drivers door, a hole in the bottom of the drivers sill, and a snapped rear arb bracket

landed with it, went to view and test drive it today, im completely chuiffed with it, im gonna try and get a more decent price out of himm tomrrow, but non the less should be picking it up thursday morning and actually going to work in it in the afternoon

only picks i have atm

Image
Image

only plans are to maintain it, clean up the rust and what else may be needed and just have it in a good condition, then maybe lower it 30mm, 260mm brakes and my sub in the boot
then maybe even take it to some car shows, meets etc

I have quite a bit to catch up on with your thread lol.

Dam that's a shame if I had mine up and running and finished I would have done you a trade for the little red rocket, saying that tho I got a quote 2 days ago for a 1.2 mk4 fiesta zetec and it came £1298 per year 3rd party only, I only pay £1500 on my mk3.5 and its a 2 litre dam insurance is crazy lol.
