Mk5 fiesta 2l blacktop conversion help

Postby BurnyZS on Sun Apr 06, 2014 1:34 pm

So I'm upto the point with This conversion where my engine is ready to go in.
I'm just not sure what route to take regarding ecu/wiring.
Originally I thought about using the 2l ecu and loom but it involves a lot of rewiring and puts me off abit.
Iv seen a guide mentioning using the fiesta si 16v ecu and loom and piggyback it to my existing ecu.
This idea is more in my favor but iv not done much electical work before and never worked 2 ecus together?
Can anyone shine some light on This for me?

I have no idea on what's involved splicing the mk3 loom into yours but surely it would be easier to use either megasquirt or the complete black top wiring?
Sorry its not any help

Iv got the complete blacktop wiring. If I was to swap the ecu to the blacktop ecu would I just need the glass key out the chip to get the engine running?

And then I'd have to find a way to make the incar wiring loom work with the blacktop ecu. But that can be done as and when as long as the engine is running
