Mine was fitted as follows:

2mm was machined from round the edge of the cap so it fits flush in the recess without modifications to the panel on the car.

If you have the cap with the integral funnel, you'll need to hacksaw the funnel off or it won't take the pump neck properly. I found this out the hard way!

The plastic filler neck hose has a retaining ring inside which fits the standard Ford locking fuel cap. This needs to be removed. It clips in but it's very tight and you may do better to cut it out, but be very carefull not to get any bits of plastic down the neck and into the tank!

When that bit is removed you then need the 'ring with captive nuts' from Mocal if you don't already have it. This fits inside the filler neck and then you should be able to screw in the six bolts and they will hold the neck tight to the panel.

p.s What happens if the tank isn't pressurised? I never get the hiss of escaping air like I used to with the Ford cap.

Adrian.
