Okay i have been quoted the following prices by me local bodyshop can you tell me if these is good etc or anywhere i can get done cheaper ?
This is on the assumption that it all gets done at same time so only one lot of paint is mixed.

Bonnet bad boyed = £150
Tailgate smoothed + recess filled = £140
That includes painting then to paint rest of me car (topcoat only) £400 or arround that.

He said he would do it all for £700 cash or £700 + The VAT if i pay cash he lets me skip VAT SHhhhhhhhhhhh

So wot u think £700 for the lot bonnet, boot + paint topup will look trick.

yup sounds like a good price. my "bodyshop-experience" cost me £1200! But that inc:

new bonnet
new front panel
smoothed tailgate
black strips on roof removed, welded and smoothed
bad boy bonnet
EVO V scoop fitted
n/s door handle & lock removed
bare shell respray inc engine bay plus colour change
RS2000 skirts sprayed & fitted
mondeo spoiler moulded to a PSG one, sprayed & fitted
rear wiper & lock removed.
oh, and a bit of welding on the passenger floor

not bad for £1200 u think?

PhatMan: Where was that, near coalville?

Wasn't PSG was it, i've heard very bad things about them (including JJ who says that roof spoiler didn't even nearly fit!).

no-way dude :aaah: :aaah: :aaah:

i used to work at PSG, making and fitting kits - i know what goes on there. they r bad news.

saying that ive got a few mates that hav had work done and its been top quality :???: so u've just got to be lucky me thinks.

the place that did my body work is in coalville. its accually only a accident repaire centre, but he loves takin on challenges. plus he gets a bit of a kick from moddin motors - the finished product makes him    .

but he isn't quick. for example my bonnet in total took 6 weeks, the work on the car took 8 weeks. he does other jobs at the same time so that he is still gettin paid from those jobs - he fits in the moddin work wen eva he gets a spare afternoon. obviously this makes it cheaper. but its no good if u need ur car back in a week! mine has been off the road for over 18 months so it was perfect for me.

but the work is SUPPERB!!! :Q

Whats it called, where in coalville is it?

Is it near the 2 scrapyards in ellistown? There's an accident repair centre there that often has modded cars in the car park. Or maybe that's the most common type of car that needs repairing....

I hang out with Dave (AKA Wonky Dave) from measham these days, amongst others (mostly from oakthorpe).

Not actually looking for any body work to be done at the moment, but its nice to know of somewhere decent for when i do. My paintwork is generally crap, and could do with a full respray, but i don't think i'll be able to afford it til next year now.

Its a Mallard green Si, which is kind of a pearl (flips from green to purple in the sun), so i'm expecting it to be pricey.
