OK, back again for a brief spell, gracing the board with my presence.

Back in the debate - do i remove the side strips from my wedgewood blue fessy? Note must be taken, I'm going for a slick look - all wedgewood fessys I've seen with the strips removed have orange indicators - mine are clear, and my mirrors are c-coded MK3.5s - slicked than mk3s... So will removing the side strips make the car look sleaker, or will it make it look, empty and void? (Also - best way to do this? what wire/solvents to remved glue??)

Secondl - what are the best clear repeaters to get?? The 3.5s dont snap straight in - any suggestions would be gratefully noted.

i reckon it looks better without the rubbing strips m8, but it can look messy if the cars had a respray or any of the laquer comes off with it ( as i found out!)

as for the repeaters, u can buy ovals for the mk3 now but you can make 3.5's fit buy cutting of the tabs and stickin' 'em on with silicon sealent.

Defo get the rubbing strips off if you want a smooth look, get em nice and warm with a hairdryer then peel em off.
You'll probs find most of the glue stuck to the car though, i found a gr8 tool at a mates garage to get glue off. It's made from natural rubber (a bit like an eraser) and goes on a spinle you put in an electric drill, you just spin the drill up and push the rubber bit onto the glue and presto, no more glue on car and no marks on paint either.

I put white spirits on a cloth and just rubbed the glue and it came off quite easy. That was when removing stickers I had on previous cars, not sure if its the same glue.

Many companies make aftermarket late spec (oval) repeaters to fit the early type Fiesta wings
