Momo Sport 16x7in Wheels
3 posts • Page 1 of 1
Just bought some of momo sport 16x7in wheels (came staright off a P reg Escort). I know from reading the wheels guides that they will not fit straight on.
Is there any easier way to get em to fit on my car, or is it a case of following the instructions of how to fit 17's.
Please bear in mind I don't know much about wheels and fiestas ( just what I've read in the guides on this site ).
The tread (205/50/16) is completely worn so I know I'll have to replace that. Different size rubber perhaps???
I tried one of the alloys on the nearside rear, with its current 205/50/16 tread. It sat rubbing on the rear spring platform.
BTW. my car is a '93 1.3lx, standard suspension (for the moment).
Any help is much appreciated.
Cheers

First of all ditch the tyres, you are going to need a low profile say 40 profile, try to get a tyre that curves in which will give you a head start on clearence.
To miss the suspension cup you will need to space the wheel out, go to fitting 17" guide and look at the two ways of doing it.
WHen this is done they will probably catch on the arch lip so again follow the instructions on how to remove access bodywork.
