fronts should no problems. I know mk3 mondeo calipers fit mk1's and mk2's and i believe that all 3 mk mondeo calipers will fit mk3 fezza's even if you have to add washers to space the calipers.

just sourced some mondeo 4x4 front discs (either 253mm or 278mm as unsure atm) with the hopes to fit them to my gf's mk3 fezza.

Really would appreciate any info should people of done it before i go wading in and 'conquering device' it all up should it not fit or i need to buy special discs.

Ive put mk1(but mk2 are the same) mondeo 2.0 calipers with rs2000 discs(258mm).All you have to do is drill the caliper mounting holes to 12mm on the hub. if you use mondeo discs the offset is wrong and you have to machine the caliper cradle about 3-4mm to get clearance. Also Mk3 mondeo calipers fit with st170 discs apparently which are 300mm.

Hope this helps :)

I'm using Mondeo v6 callipers (same as scorpio cosworth, sierracos/escos 4x4 and cougar v6)
I'm using Mondeo V6 278mm discs (278*24*47) which need about 4mm spacing.
I used a machined down spacer (diameter 130mm) to fit to the hub, then fitted the disc, and then the wheel.
Works great. Beter then the Cossie 4x4 setup.. as the caliper doesn't stick out that much compared to the mounting surface of the wheel.

Machining down the hub is as good a solution as using a spacer.. imho

Its not the hub you machine, its the caliper cradle/carrier or whatever you call it.

sort of similar, closest post i could find on a search :p

Do the st170 front brakes go pretty much straight on? and is that both the calipers and disks, or do you just use the disks with mondeo calipers or similar? cheers.

If i remember right, if you use mk3 mondy calipers with st170 discs they fit on(with 16 inch wheels). you cant use st170 calipers because the carrier is part of the hub........ i think!

mondeo mk3 or focus mk2 callipers (300mm ) are the same as the ST170 callipers..

Are mk2 focus' front brakes the same as Mondy Mk3 ones? I'm assuming they aren't the same setup as the mk1. I thought that the caliper carrier on the st170 was part of the hub

standard focus 2.0 callipers (260mm) are.. st170's aren't

Yes, but you cant use mk1 focus calipers on anything other than a mk1 focus, and when tou put st 170 brakes an a lower spec model you need to use the st 170 hubs. Im getting muddled now and forgot what the origional question was!

In all, i think what im trying to say is so run 300mm discs on a fiesta you need st170 discs with mk3 mondeo/mk2 focus calipers.Focus Mk1 (including 170) calipers are different, because the pads sit in the hub instead of a carrier like on the focus mk2/mondeo mk3.

i think

I'm SURE st170 calliper will fit other cars.. like mk3 fiesta's with st170 discs..
the ONLY thing needed is to drill out the hub from 10 to 12mm

if you use mondeo v6 calipers and st170 discs, do you need to space the caliper out, and would you need to do any mods as the st discs are 300mm and the v6 ones are 278

mondeo mk3's have 300mm as well.. so do the focus mk2's

st170 discs won't go with mk1/2 v6 calipers
