Mongoose or Scorpion zorst for my Fiesta rst???

Postby MarK4 on Sun Mar 28, 2004 6:45 pm

Not decided on which one to go for, brand new the scorpion is a fair bit cheaper then the mongoose, are they both full systems from turbo back or are there different options?

I like the sound of mongoose and heard they are less restrictive but then again I have heard its better getting a scorpion and have it debaffled.

Opinions Please :D

ive got a scorpion (full system) on my 1600 Si and its marvelous gave the car a right kick up the backside. scorpion are more well know but both brands are equal in benefits for the car. up to u in the end.

I'd personally say mongoose all the way, get such a nice burble on a FRST with one on  I got one on my car, allbeit its a 1.6 cvh NA but it still makes me wanna floor it every now and then (tunnels especially) just to hear it :Q

Why is the Scorpion so restrictive compared to the mongoose? Is it back box or general design?

Looks like it has to be the mongoose based on recomendations so far.

Alright Mark,

As you know I'm changing from my Scorpion to Mongoose - the bore of them is pretty much the same but when you look down the baffles on the Mongoose you'll see there aren't any -whereas the scorpion's got some but they knacker out quickly and sound too loud most of the time!

Go for a Mongoose mate - they're very good!

Here's a pic of the view thruogh the Mongoose backbox:
