More power

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

i have a 1.1 azura and i was thiking of getting more power, i was thinking of getting a dump valve and probably get about 100-150 bhp increase. i dont know if its worth it, [ERRR] my car is pretty fast already,

um... im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Dump Valves can only be fitted to Turbos. :sad:

Yeah, shame you need a turbo for a dump valve, but then a dump valve don't add any hp anyway, only a means to a loss.

Dump valves are there to stop you munching the blades on the turbo, not for "performance", they are more for the person that can't change gear properly. See if you change gear fast the dump valve doesn't dump much, then you have a slight build up of pressure and a bit of extra boost as you go into the next gear. Well, not dump valve increases this extra boost and thus extra power. If you change gear faster than the dumper dumps then power is actually lost as your back on the gas before the dumper closes again. So it can make your turbo last longer, or slow your car down in the case of someone that knows how to drive. In the case of someone who doesn't, it does make your car faster, as the pressure build doesn't go back and stop the turbo spinning and munching it. Which are you?
