Postby adi_gz on Wed Oct 27, 2004 9:38 pm

Iv got a mk3.5 and i want more power, i keep being left behind by bloody family cars!

So far iv got a cat back system and a induction kit but i want more. [ERRR] can be done to it, iv been thinking bout de-cat but how much will i get out of that? I wana keep modding till i get 2 about 160bhp is it possible? Last resort is a 2litre conversion, but how much wud dat be would be and is it an easy swap??

Thanx very much

I assume you mean a 1.6si?

If so a 2 litre conversion is the way forward if you want 160bhp.

I 2.0 conversion can be done for about £700 and is quite easy to do if it is the 1.6si.

After a conversion you will be on about 130bhp, which could be pushed to 160bhp with quite abit of money spent.

if it IS a 1.6si then 160 is well... in all fairness out the question.. You CAN turbo it.. but it will cost lots, and won't be worth it at all.
For the extra 200 quid for the 2.0 it' the only way to travel! Do it in style just like jimmy savell
