Mountain Biking
Anyone else on here enjoy a good bike ride? Ive not been out properly on my bike for a couple of years, went on a ride yesterday. Id forgotten how good it is to find a good trail and conquer it. Planning more rides now for sure

Re: Mountain Biking
This is what I'm riding:
A Scott Summit from something like 1995! I've had it about 9 years now and has always been a great bike to ride... It's pretty light, even by some of today's standards, and I hate to think how many thousands of miles I've done on it! It didn't get used properly for about 4 or 5 years, but recently I've spent a bit of money on second hand bits getting it going again. It's mostly STX/STX RC stuff, but the old 7 speed kit is getting on a bit, so I'm trying to decide between going 9 speed or attempting to find some new old stock and keep it 7 speed Oh, and I love the handlebars - I've never found another set of handlebars that have felt so natural to ride with, but unfortunately I can't get the grips anymore, so straight foam has to do
And just another photo from tonight:
Mine and bakewell001's super cool bikes on the coast of Minnis Bay in Kent

Re: Mountain Biking
Here's a closeup of my bike from the above ride. It's a mishmash of a downhill frame, with super high saddle and silly road tyres...
I do have another set of chunky tyres for doing non Coastal trail riding
I can confirm it has some changeable gears (although not enough and not all of the time) , and brakes that work better than Simons

It's too much effort for Henry, compared to falling down hills and fighting with bushes in the face...

Re: Mountain Biking
What tyres are they?
And what's the bike like weight-wise? Every Giant I've lifted seems to weigh a ton, but that looks like it should be quite light!
